Company Training Day – 12th January 2026

22nd January 2026

Investing in Our People and Systems

On 12th January, we brought together all of our engineers and office staff for a full company training day at Bournemouth Football Club. Days like this are incredibly important to the business, as they allow us to invest in our people, align teams across departments, and ensure everyone is equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to support our continued growth.

A key focus of the day was training on Uptick, the new app we will be using across the business. We were joined by James from Uptick, who delivered engaging and informative training sessions throughout the day. Through detailed walkthroughs and live demonstrations, James ensured the whole team gained a strong understanding of the system. The engineers in particular asked excellent questions and provided valuable feedback, helping to shape how we will use Uptick day to day.

Working together, Learning, and Best Practise

We broke for lunch midway through the day, giving everyone the opportunity to catch up, network, and spend time with colleagues they don’t always work alongside. These moments are just as important as the training itself, helping to strengthen relationships and encourage communication across the business.

The afternoon included a presentation from Chester at Metador, followed by a series of internal presentations focused on best practice and consistency.

  • Harriet covered Health & Safety, with a particular focus on dynamic risk assessments and their importance on site.
  • Luisa shared internal policy updates, welcomed new starters, and explained roles and responsibilities across the business.
  • Ellie, our Senior Contract Manager, talked through procedures, expectations, and paperwork, ensuring clarity and alignment for all teams.

Business Updates and Looking Ahead

The day also included important business updates from our leadership team. Dave, our Director, delivered a company update outlining how the business is growing, upcoming opportunities, and future projects. This provided valuable insight into where the company is heading and how everyone plays a role in that success.

We also received an update from Sean on the Fire & Security side of the business, highlighting progress, developments, and plans within that division.

Overall, the training day was a great success – informative, engaging, and forward-looking. Bringing everyone together allowed us to reinforce our standards, share knowledge, and align on our goals as we continue to grow and develop as a business.
